Testing if you are Banned

Utilize this guide to determine the type of ban you have & test if you are flagged.

Checking for hardware (HWID) bans

To check if you have an active hardware ban:

  1. Create a new game account.

  2. Create a new platform account (Battle.net, Steam, etc.)

  3. Play in-game (do not sit in the main menu) for at least 120 minutes

If you receive a ban, your PC is flagged. Move on to Bypassing a HWID Ban

Bypassing a HWID Ban

You only need to reinstall Windows using the steps below for Dark and Darker. Otherwise, you can skip to step 4.

  1. Create a Windows USB

  2. Format your Windows installation drive from the USB (typically the C:\ drive)

  3. Install Windows

  4. Continue to How to Use

Still receiving bans?

Common causes of bans after using the spoofer:

  • Forgetting to click Clean after the last ban

Cleaning is necessary because it does not only clean files. This feature also performs a number of other operations to obfuscate the PC from trace files.

  • Changing the seed between bans is necessary because the HWID generation/randomization relies on the seed.

    • If the seed doesn't change, nor will the HWID.

    • The HWID remains static until then.

  • A full format & reinstall of Windows may be required. See Bypassing a HWID Banabove.
